Alex Bandoni

Alex Bandoni is a visual journalist associated with ProPublica, a non-profit investigative journalism organization. Their work often involves creating collages and data visualizations to accompany significant investigative pieces. In recent news, Bandoni's collage was featured in an article titled "Is There Anyone Who Can Respond to My FOIA Requests? Anyone?" which highlighted the challenges of obtaining information through Freedom of Information Act requests, particularly concerning federal political appointees and staff lists from past administrations. This work underscores Bandoni's role in making complex data accessible and understandable to the public. Additionally, Bandoni's contributions extend to visually representing findings in major investigations, such as the "Carbon Captured" piece, which explored the influence of fossil fuel companies on climate research at U.S. universities. This demonstrates Bandoni's involvement in impactful journalism that sheds light on critical societal issues through compelling visual storytelling and data analysis.
