Anita Reed

Anita Reed is a photographer whose work has been captured in recent Associated Press (AP) photographs. Her images have been used to document key moments during the Zambian presidential election in August 2026. Specifically, Reed is credited with capturing President Hakainde Hichilema casting his vote at a polling station in Lusaka. Her photographs provide visual context for the election, which saw Hichilema inaugurated for his second term following a disputed vote and arrests of opposition figures. While the articles focus on the political events in Zambia, Reed's role is that of an observer and documentarian, providing the visual record of these significant moments. Her current relevance stems from her contribution to the media coverage of this important political event in Zambia.
