Carlos Fernando Silva

Carlos Fernando Silva is the Commander of the Colombian Air Force. He is newsworthy due to a recent crash of a Colombian military plane shortly after takeoff in Puerto Leguízamo, in the Putumayo department, near the border with Peru. The Lockheed Martin Hercules C-130 transport plane, carrying 114 passengers and 11 crew members (totaling 125 people), crashed while transporting troops.
