Cooper Flagg is a 19-year-old NBA player currently playing for the Dallas Mavericks. He is making headlines for his exceptional scoring ability at a young age. Recently, Flagg broke the NBA record for most points scored by a teenager in a single game, achieving 49 points against the Charlotte Hornets on January 30, 2026. However, this accomplishment was overshadowed by the Mavericks' loss to the Hornets. Prior to this, on December 16, 2025, Flagg set another record as the youngest NBA player to score 40 points in a game, tallying 42 points, although this also occurred in a losing effort. He is only the third teenager, joining LeBron James and Kevin Durant, to record at least 40 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists in a game. Despite his individual achievements, the Mavericks have struggled, as evidenced by their loss to the Utah Jazz on January 9, 2026.
