Evgueni Prigojine

Evgueni Prigojine, now deceased, founded Africa Politology, a Russian group specializing in communication and influence campaigns. This group, also referred to as a "company," was reportedly established by Prigojine and later taken over by Russian state intelligence services after his death. Recent investigations by a consortium of journalists, including those from The Continent and Forbidden Stories, under the umbrella of "Propaganda Machine," have uncovered internal documents detailing Africa Politology's activities. These investigations suggest the group aimed to cement and expand Russian influence in the Sahel region, as well as to sway Chad away from Western alliances. The investigations also allege potential interference in South African electoral processes, which the ANC party denies. Prigojine's creation and its subsequent activities remain relevant due to ongoing concerns about Russian influence operations in Africa.
