Guirec Soudée

Guirec Soudée, a 34-year-old French sailor from Brittany, has recently made headlines for breaking the world record for the fastest solo circumnavigation of the globe from east to west. He completed the journey in 94 days, 21 hours, and 58 minutes aboard his 31-meter trimaran, "MACSF." This achievement shatters the previous record, held for 22 years, by nearly a month. Soudée is the first sailor to accomplish this feat on a multihull vessel. Sailing against prevailing winds, this type of circumnavigation is considered particularly challenging.
