Yoon Su-jin, a South Korean YouTuber known online as InoCat, gained international attention after being subjected to a racist gesture during a World Cup match in Guadalajara, Mexico. A video of the incident, which showed a Mexican man pulling at the corners of his eyes in a derogatory manner towards people of Asian descent, went viral. The man responsible, identified as Ulises Fernando Bernal Miramontes, the former head of a Mexican engineering guild, subsequently apologized and lost his position due to the backlash. In response to the incident and to promote a message of inclusion and respect, FIFA has invited InoCat to attend an upcoming World Cup match. This match is scheduled for the International Day for Countering Hate Speech, highlighting FIFA's commitment to combating discrimination in sports.
