Jane Coates

Jane Coates is the mother of Lucy Harrison, a 23-year-old British woman who was fatally shot in Texas on January 10, 2025, by her father, Kris Harrison. Lucy was visiting her father in Texas and was scheduled to return to the UK the day after she was killed. Her mother, Jane Coates, is now urging UK Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband and Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham to press US authorities to reopen the investigation into her daughter's death. Lucy Harrison had recently achieved significant life milestones, including graduating with honors, securing her dream job, and purchasing her first home. The family feels that justice has not been adequately served, prompting Coates's current efforts to seek a new inquiry into the circumstances surrounding her daughter's tragic death.
