Jason Agan

Jason Agan, a middle school math teacher in the San Francisco Bay Area, has been removed from the classroom for the remainder of the academic year by the Redwood City School District. This action follows new complaints of inappropriate student contact. An investigation by KQED and ProPublica revealed that Agan had previously faced accusations of inappropriately touching students at two prior teaching positions. Despite being deemed "unfit to teach" by one former employer after students reported uncomfortable physical contact, including shoulder massages, California did not revoke his teaching credentials. Agan is among 67 teachers whose licenses were retained by the state after their schools determined they had committed sexual harassment or misconduct.
