Jessica Meir

Jessica Meir is a NASA astronaut who is part of the SpaceX Crew-12 mission. She, along with fellow NASA astronaut Jack Hathaway, European Space Agency astronaut Sophie Adenot, and Roscosmos cosmonaut Andrey Fedyaev, launched aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket and Dragon spacecraft from Cape Canaveral. Their mission is to replace a crew that was medically evacuated from the International Space Station (ISS) last month, marking NASA's first medical evacuation in 65 years of human spaceflight. The Crew-12 team arrived at the ISS after a 34-hour journey and will spend eight months conducting research and maintaining the station. Their arrival restores the ISS to full operational strength following the unexpected departure of their predecessors.
