Joani Reid

Joani Reid is a Scottish Labour MP. She is currently newsworthy because her husband, David Taylor, was arrested on suspicion of spying for China. Taylor, along with two other men, was arrested by counter-terrorism officers in London and Wales. Reid has stated that she is not involved in her husband's business activities and has never seen anything to make her suspect he has broken any laws. Prior to the arrest, Reid declared a £2,400 donation from Earthcott Ltd, Taylor's lobbying company, for media training. The investigation into Taylor and the other men is ongoing, raising concerns about potential Chinese espionage within the UK and prompting scrutiny of Reid's connections to her husband's business.
