José Bogas

José Bogas is the outgoing CEO of Endesa, a Spanish energy company controlled by the Italian multinational Enel (70% stake). He is stepping down from the CEO position after 12 years, a role he assumed in 2014. The decision not to renew his position as CEO was made by Enel. This change in leadership has been speculated about for some time. While Bogas will no longer be the chief executive, he is proposed to continue with Endesa as an external advisor ('consejero externo'). This transition will be formalized at the upcoming General Shareholders' Meeting scheduled for April 28th.
