Justin Fairfax

Justin Fairfax was the former Lieutenant Governor of Virginia, the second Black person elected to statewide office in Virginia. He previously ran for Governor in 2021. He is now newsworthy due to a recent murder-suicide. On April 16, 2026, police found Justin and his wife, Dr. Cerina Fairfax, dead at their home in Annandale, Virginia. Investigators determined that Justin Fairfax shot his wife multiple times before killing himself. Their two teenage children were home at the time of the incident. Dr. Cerina Fairfax is being remembered by her patients and colleagues as a caring dentist and devoted mother. The incident has shocked the Virginia political community and beyond.
