About
Mohammed Fahir Amaaz, a 21-year-old from Rochdale, has been sentenced to three and a half years in prison following his conviction for assaulting two female police officers and a member of the public. The incidents occurred at a Starbucks within Manchester Airport. Amaaz was found guilty of common assault and two counts of actual bodily harm after a four-week trial at Liverpool Crown Court. Mobile phone footage captured the brawl. In a separate but related development, Amaaz and his brother, Muhammad Amaad, were involved in a physical confrontation with PC Zachary Marsden at Manchester Airport in July 2024. A video appeared to show one of the brothers being kicked in the face by the officer while on the ground. However, a third trial for the brothers regarding this incident will not proceed as prosecutors failed to provide necessary evidence.
