Nico Antic

Nico Antic was a 12-year-old Australian boy who tragically died in January 2026 after being attacked by a shark in Sydney Harbour. The incident occurred on January 18th while he was swimming with friends at a popular cliff-jumping spot known as Jump Rock near Shark Beach in Vaucluse, a suburb east of Sydney. He sustained severe injuries to his legs and was immediately taken to a hospital where he fought for his life for several days. Despite medical efforts, Nico succumbed to his injuries and passed away. The attack, believed to have been by a bull shark, is part of a series of recent shark attacks along Australia's southeastern coast, raising concerns and prompting beach closures.
