Poppy

Poppy is a crowned sifaka (Propithecus coronatus) lemur residing at the Mulhouse Zoo in France. Crowned sifakas are a critically endangered species native to the dry forests of Madagascar, where their habitat is threatened by human activities. Poppy is newsworthy because she recently gave birth to a baby crowned sifaka. There are only 16 crowned sifakas currently recorded in European zoos, making this birth a significant event for the conservation of the species.
