Éric Comyn

Éric Comyn was an adjutant-chef (a high-ranking non-commissioned officer) in the French Gendarmerie. He was killed in August 2024 in Mougins during a traffic stop when a driver refused to comply and struck him. The driver, a 40-year-old Cape Verdean man with a history of ten prior convictions, has been ordered to stand trial for Comyn's murder.
