Roy Hodgson

Roy Hodgson is a 78-year-old veteran English football manager with a career spanning 50 years and 23 clubs/national teams. He is newsworthy due to his recent appointment as the manager of Bristol City, an English second-tier club. This marks a comeback for Hodgson, who is taking over from Gerhard Struber. Despite his age, Hodgson has announced his intention to immediately begin working with the team. His return is notable given his extensive experience and age, making him a significant figure in the football world even now. Some consider him an example of someone who struggles to retire, while others see him as a potentially inspiring figure for the players he will be coaching.
