Salwani Anuar

Salwani Anuar, 27, is the third wife of Muhammad Hafizuddeain Jantan, the former Malaysian army chief. She has recently become newsworthy due to her involvement in a money laundering case linked to a military procurement scandal. Both Salwani Anuar and her husband, Muhammad Hafizuddeain Jantan, 58, were charged with four counts each under Malaysia’s anti-money-laundering law, involving approximately 2.2 million ringgit (US$544,000). They both pleaded not guilty to the charges. Her appearance in a wheelchair at the special corruption high court in Kuala Lumpur has also drawn attention and ridicule on social media.
