Samuel Corner

Samuel Corner, 23, is a Palestine Action activist. Palestine Action is a pro-Palestinian group known for directly targeting Israeli-linked businesses in the UK, particularly Elbit Systems, an Israeli defense firm. Corner, along with five other activists (Charlotte Head, Leona Kamio, Fatema Rajwani, Zoe Rogers, and Jordan Devlin), was recently acquitted of aggravated burglary charges related to a break-in at Elbit Systems' factory in Filton, near Bristol, on August 6, 2024. The activists were accused of threatening unlawful violence and using sledgehammers. The acquittal is significant because it follows a similar outcome for other Palestine Action members, leading to prosecutors dropping charges against additional defendants. The verdicts are being viewed by some as a vindication of Palestine Action's cause and tactics, while others may see it as a challenge to the legal system's ability to address direct action protests.
