Solange Tremblay

Solange Tremblay is an Air Canada flight attendant who survived a plane crash at LaGuardia Airport in New York. The Air Canada Jazz CRJ-900 jet, operated by Jazz Aviation, collided with a fire truck upon landing. Tremblay was ejected from the aircraft, still strapped in her seat, and landed over 100 meters away. The pilot and co-pilot of the plane were killed in the collision. Tremblay's daughter, Sarah Lepine, described her mother's survival as a "total miracle" and a "complete miracle." Tremblay sustained multiple fractures to one leg and requires surgery, but is otherwise reported to be okay. Her survival is considered remarkable given the circumstances of the crash and the fatalities involved. The incident is under investigation by aviation safety authorities.
