Stella Jean

Stella Jean is a Haitian-Italian fashion designer based in Milan. She is currently newsworthy for designing the uniforms for the Haitian team at the 2026 Winter Olympics. The uniforms were intended to honor Haiti's heritage, drawing inspiration from a 2006 painting depicting a formerly enslaved revolutionary. However, Jean had to redesign the ski suits for the opening ceremony after the International Olympic Committee (IOC) deemed the initial designs non-compliant with guidelines on athlete expression. Despite this challenge, the final designs have been recognized for their unique and culturally relevant aesthetic, highlighting Haiti's presence at the Winter Olympics and showcasing Jean's design talent on an international stage.
