Thorbjorn Jagland

Thorbjorn Jagland, a former Prime Minister of Norway and past leader of the Nobel Committee and Secretary-General of the Council of Europe, is currently under investigation for corruption related to his association with the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Recently released Epstein files have triggered a political storm in Norway, linking Jagland to Epstein. Norwegian police have searched Jagland's properties as part of the investigation, focusing on alleged 'aggravated corruption'. Jagland, who briefly led Norway in the 1990s, previously benefited from diplomatic immunity due to his work with the Council of Europe, but this privilege has been waived, allowing the investigation to proceed. The probe was initiated after documents revealed a mutually beneficial relationship between Jagland and Epstein, where Jagland allegedly promised influence in exchange for gifts. The World Economic Forum is also reviewing its CEO's dealings with Epstein.
