Vasyl Malyuk

Vasyl Malyuk was the head of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), an agency primarily focused on internal security and counter-intelligence. Since the 2022 Russian invasion, the SBU has also been involved in assassinations and sabotage operations. Malyuk, who was awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine last year, has recently been replaced as head of the SBU by Maj-Gen Yevhenii Khmara, who is now acting head.
