Zhi Dong Zhang, also known by the alias 'Brother Wang,' is a Chinese national accused of leading a vast criminal network involved in supplying Mexican drug cartels with fentanyl from China. He has been implicated in smuggling and money laundering activities on an extensive scale. Recently newsworthy due to his audacious escape from house arrest in Mexico, Zhang was subsequently apprehended by Cuban authorities before being extradited back to face charges in Mexico. His capture is significant as he is believed to have ties with prominent Mexican drug cartels such as the Sinaloa and Jalisco New Generation cartels, making him a key figure in international drug trafficking operations.
