Zolani Tete

Zolani Tete, a former world champion boxer who held both the WBF flyweight and WBO bantamweight titles, has been tragically shot and killed. The incident occurred outside his home in the Eastern Cape, South Africa. According to South Africa’s sports, arts and culture minister, Gayton McKenzie, the 38-year-old Tete was killed while in his car. A 27-year-old woman who was with him in the vehicle sustained multiple gunshot wounds and is currently in hospital. Tete's death has sent shockwaves through the sporting community, highlighting his significance as a decorated athlete and former world champion.
