Qatari and Turkish citizens die in military helicopter crash
A military helicopter crashed in Qatar's territorial waters on Sunday, killing all seven people on board. The deceased include four Qatari military personnel, one Turkish serviceman, and two technicians from a Turkish defense company, Aselsan. According to authorities, the crash was due to a "technical malfunction" during a training exercise conducted as part of the Qatar-Turkey Joint Forces Command. The incident is currently under investigation by Qatari authorities to determine the exact cause. Turkey has a military base in Qatar under a 2014 defense agreement between the two countries.
