Mark Fuhrman, LA detective convicted of lying at OJ Simpson trial, dies

Former Los Angeles police detective Mark Fuhrman, who was convicted of lying during his testimony at the O.J. Simpson murder trial, has died. Fuhrman was one of the first detectives to investigate the 1994 killings of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman and reported finding a bloody glove at Simpson's home. His credibility was challenged during the trial when recordings revealed he had used racial slurs, contradicting his testimony that he had not done so in the past decade. Following Simpson's 1995 acquittal, Fuhrman retired from the LAPD, pleaded no contest to perjury charges in 1996, and later worked as a commentator and author. He died on May 12th in Kootenai County, Idaho.
