Israel attacks southern Lebanon and near Syrian border despite ‘ceasefire’

Israeli forces conducted air attacks in southern Lebanon and near the Syrian border on Saturday, following earlier raids that killed ten people. The National News Agency reported strikes in the Nabi Sreij area near the Syrian border and in several villages in southern Lebanon, including Yohmor al-Shaqif and Taybeh. These attacks come despite a reported ceasefire. The Israeli military also issued displacement warnings for southern Lebanese villages and areas, causing residents to flee their homes in fear. An earlier Israeli attack near Tebnine Hospital damaged multiple floors of the building, including critical medical facilities. The ongoing attacks are described as causing "psychological terror" for residents in southern Lebanon.

Lebanon's health ministry condemned the attacks as violations of international law and reported further strikes on Friday night into Saturday.
