Denmark’s prime minister secures third term after marathon talks
Mette Frederiksen, Denmark's Social Democratic leader, has secured a third consecutive term as prime minister. She announced on Monday that she has agreed to form a centre-left coalition government following months of negotiations after a March election. This new minority cabinet will allow Frederiksen to maintain her position in power. The agreement comes amid ongoing discussions about the future of Greenland, which has also been a point of contention in ties with US President Donald Trump. Frederiksen informed reporters that she had met with the King to announce the formation of the government.
