UFC fighting cage rises on White House lawn for US and Trump celebrations
A temporary octagon-shaped cage is being erected on the White House South Lawn for an Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) bout scheduled for June 14, 2026. This event is part of a series of celebrations for the United States' 250th anniversary and President Donald Trump's 80th birthday. The fight space will feature a red, white, and blue stage under a star-spangled arch, with large screens broadcasting the action. Thousands of temporary seats will surround the arena, and additional screens will be set up at the nearby Ellipse. The UFC plans to distribute up to 85,000 free tickets for the event.
