Taylor Swift concert attack plot suspect found guilty by Austrian court
An Austrian court has convicted a 21-year-old Austrian citizen, identified as Beran A, for planning an attack on a Taylor Swift concert in Vienna. The state court in Wiener Neustadt found him guilty on charges including those related to the concert plot. His defense lawyer stated that Beran A admitted to the concert plot charges during the trial. Although the plot was thwarted, Austrian authorities canceled Swift's three performances scheduled for August 2024. Beran A allegedly intended to target concertgoers outside the Ernst Happel Stadium with knives or homemade explosives. He expressed remorse to the court, stating, "I would just like to say that I am sorry."
