At Least 10 Killed in Lebanon, Officials Say, After Israel Strikes Hezbollah
At least ten people were killed in Lebanon on Friday after Israeli strikes targeted Hezbollah command centers in the east of the country, according to Lebanese officials. Hezbollah reported that eight of its members were among the dead. The strikes, which also wounded at least 24 people, occurred in the Baalbek area of the Bekaa Valley and threaten to destabilize the existing cease-fire between Israel and Hezbollah. The attacks followed earlier Israeli airstrikes on a Palestinian refugee camp in southern Lebanon, which Israel claimed was a Hamas command center. The strikes come as President Trump considers how to address Iran's nuclear program, raising concerns that groups like Hezbollah could retaliate against U.S. forces and allies.
