A shooter kills 2 at a Northern California library and an 18-year-old suspect has been arrested
A shooting at the Chico branch of the Butte County Library in Northern California on Monday evening resulted in two fatalities. Police responded to a 911 call reporting gunshots and screams, and upon entering the library, the suspect fled out the back. Law enforcement apprehended the 18-year-old suspect, identified as Bradley Scott Sayer of Chico, who was booked on suspicion of two counts of murder. A child sustained a minor injury and was taken to the hospital. Authorities stated there was no apparent connection between the suspect and the victims. All Butte County library branches will be closed on Tuesday as the investigation, assisted by the FBI, continues.
