Real Madrid fine Valverde and Tchouameni for dressing-room fight
Real Madrid has fined Aurelien Tchouameni and Federico Valverde 500,000 euros each following a training ground altercation. The club initiated internal procedures which are now concluded with these financial penalties, opting against sporting sanctions. The clash resulted in Valverde sustaining a head injury requiring hospital treatment and stitches, ruling him out of the upcoming Clasico against Barcelona for up to two weeks. Tchouameni, who participated in training, may still play. Both players expressed remorse and apologized to each other and the club during the investigation. Valverde attributed the incident to competitive strain and frustration, downplaying the severity of his injury.
