Buffy the Vampire Slayer actor Nicholas Brendon dies aged 54
Nicholas Brendon, the US actor best known for his role as Xander Harris in the cult TV series *Buffy the Vampire Slayer*, has died at the age of 54. Brendon starred in *Buffy* for seven seasons, from 1997 to 2003, and received three Emmy nominations for his performance. Following *Buffy*, he appeared in other television shows such as *Criminal Minds* and *Private Practice*, and several films. Brendon was open about his struggles with health issues, including a heart attack and cauda equina syndrome, as well as addiction and mental health challenges. He also advocated for the Stuttering Foundation of America, having lived with a stutter himself.
