French Open has ‘positive’ meeting with players over tennis dispute
Roland Garros director Amelie Mauresmo and other French Tennis Federation (FFT) representatives held a constructive meeting with player representatives regarding prize money. The discussions, which occurred on the eve of the French Open following a boycott-impacted media day, focused on players' campaign for a larger share of Grand Slam revenue. Both parties agreed to continue dialogue in the coming weeks, with the FFT committing to respond to player proposals. A group of top-ranked players have been seeking a 22 percent share of Grand Slam revenues by 2030, up from the current approximately 15 percent. The FFT has agreed to negotiate directly with the protesting players.
