Seaplane lands in New York City’s East River with only minor injuries reported
A seaplane carrying eight people made a hard landing in New York City's East River on Sunday around noon. The aircraft, identified as a Kodiak 100 by the FAA, landed upright and was towed to a dock. Two passengers sustained minor injuries, with one expressing relief at being alive despite pain. The FAA stated that a swing strut snapped during the landing and that air traffic control was not providing services to the aircraft. The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the incident, and reports suggest the seaplane was arriving from East Hampton.
