Rights group plans complaint to IOC against Infantino over Trump support
Human rights group FairSquare plans to file a complaint with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) against FIFA President Gianni Infantino. The complaint alleges Infantino has repeatedly breached political neutrality rules through his public support for former US President Donald Trump. FairSquare previously filed a complaint with the FIFA Ethics Committee in December 2025, citing instances of Infantino expressing support for Trump's actions and policies, and questioning the decision to award Trump a FIFA Peace Prize. The IOC stated it would review any complaint received. FairSquare has also launched a public campaign for FIFA reform and has received support from European Parliament members and the Norwegian Football Federation for their complaint.
