Nvidia unveils new chip to bring AI directly to personal computers
Nvidia has unveiled a new superchip, the RTX Spark, designed to bring advanced artificial intelligence capabilities directly to personal computers. This chip, a collaboration with MediaTek, combines CPU and GPU functions and will power new Windows laptops and desktops from brands including Dell, HP, Lenovo, ASUS, and Microsoft. Expected to debut in the fall, these "AI personal computers" aim to reinvent the PC experience by enabling local processing of AI agents and complex workloads. Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang stated this development will allow for AI agents that can assist users with tasks like research and file management. Microsoft confirmed these new PCs will support highly capable AI models.
