Authorities say man killed his family, then himself, before all were found in Michigan home fire
Authorities have determined that a man fatally shot his wife and their six children before taking his own life in their Grand Haven Township, Michigan, home. The family, including Kristopher Karolkiewicz, 47, his wife Amanda, 39, and their children aged 5 to 15, were discovered deceased after a fire at their residence on Friday, July 24, 2026. Autopsies confirmed all eight family members died from gunshot wounds, with Kristopher Karolkiewicz identified as the perpetrator of the murder-suicide. Investigators believe the fire was intentionally set after the killings. The family's pets also died in the blaze.
