Israeli gunfire in Gaza refugee camp kills 6, including 9-year-old girl
On Sunday, Palestinian health officials reported that Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip resulted in at least six deaths, including a 9-year-old girl named Tala Abu Matar. Medics stated she was killed by Israeli gunfire at a tent encampment in the Al-Bureij refugee camp. The Israeli military said it was unaware of this specific incident. Separately, an Israeli air strike on a metal foundry in Gaza City's Sabra neighborhood killed four people, with witnesses reporting three missiles hitting the site. The Israeli military stated it struck "terrorist" infrastructure. Additionally, a strike in the Mawasi area of Khan Younis killed at least one person and wounded several others, including children. These events occurred as mediators held talks regarding a US-brokered ceasefire.
