Beloved musicians among victims in deadly Bahamas plane crash; aviation authority grounds flights
A plane crash in North Andros, Bahamas, on Friday killed ten people, including members of "The Pond Band" and a local DJ. A sole survivor was rescued from the wreckage of the Cessna 402 aircraft, which encountered difficulties before landing. The incident occurred shortly after another aviation event where a Flamingo Air flight returned to Nassau due to a reported concern, and the plane subsequently caught fire on the runway. In response to these two incidents, the Civil Aviation Authority Bahamas temporarily suspended Flamingo Air's Air Operator Certificate as a precautionary safety measure. The Aircraft Accident Investigation Authority is investigating the cause of the fatal crash.
