The leaks of the country's medical exam led to the invalidation of tests for millions and sparked widespread student protests. The survey found that just over half of those polled were "not happy" with the government's handling of the situation. Even among supporters of the ruling coalition, 40 percent expressed disapproval. The protests, led by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), escalated, resulting in police action and the eventual resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on July 25. CJP leaders now plan to form a nationwide movement focused on youth issues.
