Shooting of Russian artist critical of Putin in Poland likely ‘political murder’: Tusk
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk stated on Wednesday that the fatal shooting of Russian artist Semyon Skrepetsky, whose real name is Robert Kuzovkov, in eastern Poland was likely a political murder. Skrepetsky was known for his caricatures of Russian President Vladimir Putin. Polish officials reported that Skrepetsky was shot multiple times on Monday morning by an unidentified gunman. Tusk indicated that if Russia commissioned the killing, it would have significant international implications. The Polish government had previously offered Skrepetsky protection, which he declined.
