Trump threatens to bomb Iranian bridges, power plants over ship attacks
President Donald Trump has threatened to bomb Iranian bridges and power plants if Iran fires at any ship in the Strait of Hormuz. This warning, issued on Wednesday, represents a potential significant escalation of the ongoing conflict. Trump specified that for each Iranian attack on a vessel, the U.S. would destroy one bridge or power plant in Iran, including those near Tehran. In response, an Iranian military source stated that Tehran would retaliate by targeting energy facilities in which the United States has interests if Iran's infrastructure is attacked. The source also claimed passage through Hormuz is safe if coordinated with Iran. The U.S. and Iran have been exchanging attacks for the past 12 days.
