Israeli attacks wound eight in Lebanon despite Rome talks
Israeli airstrikes and shelling targeted towns in the southern Lebanese district of Tyre, wounding eight people in Burj Shemali, according to the Lebanese Health Ministry. These attacks occurred as the seventh round of US-mediated ceasefire negotiations between Lebanon and Israel concluded. Earlier, a booby-trapped explosion in Majdal Zoun killed two Israeli soldiers and injured four during a search operation. Since March 2, Israeli military escalation has resulted in thousands of casualties in Lebanon. The UN Interim Force in Lebanon reported a high number of Israeli projectiles fired into southern Lebanon on Wednesday. A Lebanese army deployment to reopen roads in al-Mansouri was halted due to Israeli army control over the border area, with the village designated a "restricted military zone" by Israel.
