More passengers from hantavirus-hit cruise ship test positive
Three passengers evacuated from the cruise ship MV Hondius, which is experiencing a hantavirus outbreak, have tested positive for the virus. A French woman, repatriated to Paris, developed symptoms and subsequently tested positive. Two American nationals flown to Nebraska also tested positive; one is asymptomatic, and the other has mild symptoms. These positive tests occurred as the operation to bring passengers home from the affected ship continued. The evacuations and repatriations are ongoing, with health officials monitoring the situation.
