Wealth, drugs and rape: US luxury real estate stars convicted of sex trafficking
Three brothers, including luxury real estate brokers Oren and Tal Alexander, were convicted on Monday of sex trafficking charges in a New York court. The verdict followed a five-week trial where eleven women testified to being sexually assaulted by the brothers, who allegedly used drugs and their wealth to coerce the victims. The jury found the brothers guilty on 19 counts, and sentencing is scheduled for August 6, where they could face life in prison. The defense lawyer stated that they will appeal the verdict, maintaining the brothers' innocence. The brothers remain jailed.
