Thousands of Bonnie Tyler fans gather to pay respects as coffin brought home
Thousands of fans gathered in Swansea, Wales, to pay their respects as the coffin of singer Bonnie Tyler, born Gaynor Sullivan, was brought back to her former home. Tyler, known for hits like "Total Eclipse of the Heart," died unexpectedly in Portugal on July 8th at age 75. Fans lined Newton Road, throwing flowers onto the hearse and singing her popular songs. Many attendees expressed that Tyler was an inspiration and an icon whose music deeply touched them. A public celebration of her life will be held at Swansea Minster on August 17th, with the service broadcast on a large screen for the public. Following the service, her coffin will travel through her home village of Skewen for a private family gathering.
